Chicago Child Care for All: Dream, Rise, Organize Summit

Our Chicago Child Care Campaign launch is coming! This past weekend, we had over 70 parents, grandparents, home child care providers, daycare center workers and community allies come together at our Chicago Child Care for All Summit to envision what our ideal child care system would look like. Our vision is one where child care is free, publicly run with a unionized workforce that earns good wages, and accessible to all families regardless of their income.

We believe that every child deserves equal access to quality child care just like public education. With our Chicago campaign, we’re working hard to create a system that not only expands access for more families but ensures that child care jobs are good jobs. We can’t successfully grow child care if we don’t first have the workforce to staff the need in our communities.
